I have an older Interarms imported PPK/S and the cartridge indicator pin slips back and forth...far more than it should. Just by moving the gun back and forth, the indicator pin will slide in and out of the firing pin & cartridge indicator assembly. I have searched this forum and the web for detailed disassembly instructions but have not found any. Has anyone else run into this problem?
It seems that whatever part that holds the cartridge indicator in place is either broken or worn. I do feel a spring inside that gives springy resistence when I gently tug on the cartridge indicator pin. Incidentally, the pin slides back and forth about 1/2". Which also means it protrudes about 1/2" and would interfere with the hammer, if Walther hadn't machined a notch on top of the hammer (in perfect alignment with the cartridge indicator pin).
Seems like Walther anticipated this problem occuring. In the meantime, I have a handgun that needs to be repaired. Anyone know the procedure to fix it?
