Just like the title says I could use some info on several handguns a neighbor of mine inherited. I'm looking for production dates and possible value. They are:

S&W Model 66 .357 magnum serial CSP 03xx tight w/lots of holster wear
S&W Model J-frame .38 special serial 221xxx like new

Remington Rand 1911 .45ACP serial 109xxx used, missing magazine, has good looking bore

Dan Wesson .357 magnum "6 barrel serial 001xxx Like new in box

Colt Trooper .357 magnum "3 barrel serial 28xxx nickel? like new in box

Iver Johnson Target Sealed 8 .22 lr "6 barrel serial m96xxx used but action is still crisp

JC Higgins Model 80 .22 lr 648xxx like new in box

Buddie Arms Double Deuce Derringer .22 lr serial 5xxx nickel like new in box

Romh GMBH Sontheim/BR RG 17 .38 Special Derringer serial 28xxx nickel like new in box

Any type of information no matter how trivial is greatly appreciated.
TIA

Note prices are approximate and retail, not what you would get from a dealer.

Worst first. The Rohm and derringer are not high quality. If offered $50 apiece, take it.

JC Higgins, need more info.

IJ, around $85-100 depending on condition.

Colt Trooper, mfg 1961, $500.

Dan Wesson, need more info, but probably mfg c. 1971, $250.

Remington-Rand M1911A1. Probably a R-R slide on a US&S or Colt frame. Mfg 1943, $800

J-frame, need more info.

Model 66, can't find that serial range; $150-200.

HTH

Serial number of the "Remington Rand" is in the range used by both Colt and US&S but not RR. It is a mixmaster. It would be worth more if it were an Army mixmaster with AA or other rework marking.

Does the Dan wesson have adjustable sights or fixed, and does the barrel have a "pork chop?"

If the sights aren't adjustable, then it's probably a model 14.
