This rifle has done nothing but anger me since I got it, due to jams, not cycling, etc. so today I finally took apart the gas port thingie to clean it out. Well, the port wasn't clogged or dirty. There's a little rust on the threads and stuff, but the tube and everything is very clean.

I have the instructions to adjust the gas system, but I don't have any info on whether or not the screw is suppose to be tightened all the way down, or backed off a turn, or what.

If I tighten the gas screw all the way down, it goes about a 1/4 turn past the position it's suppose to be in. Should I loosen it 1 extra turn to the "normal" position, or is it suppose to be all the way down.

The last few times I shot it, it didn't eject the shells at all. The gas screw is beveled kinda, so I was thinking if it wasn't tightened as far, it would let in more gas and maybe eject the shells?

I really have no idea what to do at this point, so any help is appreciated. I don't want to shoot it again if the gun can blow up or something because the gas screw is too far in or out either.

The extractor thingie (on the bolt?) looks good too, so if the gun still doesn't cycle after this, are there any other things that could be wrong with it?
thanks
