Need info on removing/installing AR15 stocks...

I'm considering a little reconfiguration and I'm wondering about what's involved in juggling AR stocks. I'm looking at removing a retractable stock from one rifle, and removing a standard full-stock on another, and switching them.
I know there's a special wrench for this, seems I recall seeing one at CDNN for around $30.
Would I be better off getting my local smith to do this, or better off to just buy the wrench ?
Any info,tips,advice,warnings,etc. much appreciated......
 
Dunno about the fixed stock but the collapsables are quite easy and the multi purpose tools are good to have around
