as anyone heard or have any experience using wolf brand primers and would you recommend them, with the price of winchester primers almost doubling I'm looking to save money wherever I can.
I would use them for .223, thanks.

I ordered 10,000 of the Wolf small pistol primers a couple months back, I'm very pleased with the performance, they were $210 delivered from Wideners.:)

I've been using them. I tested them against Winchester Large Pistol in 45acp and got NO difference across the chronograph with new Winchester cases, 230 fmj and 4.2 grains Titegroup powder. Performance was identical.

I'm buying 5000 from wideners this week in a Group buy at work. I think we are ordering 40,000. The locals who use them like them. I'm going to use them for Plinking and use the rest to build Ammo that might be used in Serious Social Intercourse.

I like em,

bought 10k SR, and havent had a problem yet.

I will buy more, especially if the price stays lower.

Im sticking with winchester. I wish i could get winchester caps. i used to use cci but i came i guess across a whole bunch that just did not work. this happened for months. So i switched to Winchester no problems ever since. Now unfortuneatly i am using CCI caps for black powder. last week i had 15 ftf from CCI caps using both number 10 and 11 caps. On caps you can tell easily. if i take a cap and put it in an empty cylinder it will still sound like a big cap gun a kid uses. Well on the ftf you dont hear anything just the tap of the hammer hitting the cap on the nipple.

God i hate CCI Only thing they make good is 22lr ammo

Thanks everyone, I'll be picking some up this weekend to see how they work for me, I'll be using them for HP, 24gr R15 & 77gr Sierra hpbt and some 80gr for across the course

I've got a bunch of their Large Rifle primers.. .they work fine. I also recommend taking a look at Magtech.. I have a whole bunch of their large pistol primers, use 'em in .45ACP and in .44 Magnum... I've found my handloads (.44 Magnum, 240Gr. XTP, max with H110) are more consistent (I have a chrony) with the Magtech--I compared them to Winchester and CCI-- I was surprised, to say the least.

I haven't used them in 223 yet, only pistol but they work fine. I'm actually working on another 50,000 order today. C&R license at Graf's, $80.99 for 5,000.:D
