I bought 10k Tulas from Powder Valley a while back. I found the large pistol primers harder to seat than some other brands, but the still go bang. The small pistols seated much better.

Wolf Primers

i just loaded 100 44 magnum rounds a couple of days ago they were a little hard to seat in the primer pockets but it wasn't a problem they were new brass too i really like the Wolf primers though iam ordering about 4 bricks of em next month from widners .com the rifle & pistols primers are around $16.00 to $16.50 & the 209 shotshell primers are $21.00 per brick if any one knows where i can get them any cheaper let me know thanks guys

I bought a whole case of Tula and then three sleeves (1000 ct. boxes) of Wolf from a fellow here on THR last summer. The price was GREAT but I have mixed feelings using them for my SR9c. When I started with them, I was having quite a few problems, needing 2 or even 3 strikes with my Ruger to light off. Some wouldn't fire for love nor money. Someone here on THR suggested I wasn't seating hard enough, so I've been pressing them home as hard as I can, slightly below flush but the Ruger still has the occassional FTF on first-strike. Out of my CZ85 and my Model 15 S&W I can't say I've had any problems since I've started seating harder.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned striker-fired guns may be the culprit and, in my case, that seems to be true. For plinking ammo I'm not worried about it, albeit a bit frustrated sometimes. If I were rolling my own SD ammo or competition ammo and planned to use my Ruger, I would use a different primer.
