Need M1 Garand info

Hello,
New here and i am trying to find info on my M1.I searched on my own and trying to decode the info gets a bit confusing.Thought it might be time to ask the Experts.
Its a blue sky/arlington va. import . Its in very nice condition and shows little signs of wear.I think that they reparkerized thses before they were imported back.Wood is great,finish is great.Below is the info i have.
-SER# 3065xxx = 1944 I THINK
RECIVER # = 28291-34
BOLT# = D28287-19SA B-16-B
OP ROD = D35382-9-SA
TRIGGER= D28290-12-SA
BARREL = SA6535448 10 66 BU31 M then a shield like symbol

Just trying to find out how complete it is to org. and value or any other info

Sounds like you have the Springfield,...1944 sounds about right, anything with SA is Springfield Armory...but could be replacements, the barrel I believe is a replacement, believe the 10 66 on it means oct, 1966 but not positive.

AFAIK, all Blue Sky imports came from Korea; most of them had been rebuilt at least once, sometimes several times. They were reparked by the importer in the U.S.

Shoot it and enjoy; and don't worry about collector value or originality, as it has little of either.

61chalk, you are correct, the Springfield Armory 10 66 barrel does indicate October 1966 manufacture.

Thanks for the input. So the barrel being stamped devalues it as a collectable.Would the rest of the parts be the same as a non import? Not sure if i will keep this, Will pick up the missing rear handguard at the next gun show and see how it shoots.What might it be valued at if i decide i need a
M1A even more?

The receiver was made in July, 1944, but that does not mean that the rifle would be of more than usual value. The heat lot is correct for the date and that's a sign that it may not be a rewelded receiver, though it doesn't prove it's not. From the side photo I'd guess that it isn't a welded up receiver but would have to see more to be sure.

The import marking is undesirable and so is that stock. I've never seen such a poor fit at the back of the receiver and since it otherwise looks like a nice quality of walnut stock I wonder how it happened. Garands get bubba love too, I guess.
