I've got a set of 6 wood-handled steak knives that were given to my wife and I as a wedding present over 35 years ago. They need new wood. Personally, I would just throw them away and buy a new set, but my wife loves these knives. So, I thought that I would try and find someone who could make new wood handles for them. The handles are held on with 3 rivets with wood on each side. If someone is interested in tackling this project, I'll take some pics and email them to you. I'm located in Novato, CA and am willing to travel almost anywhere in the SFBayArea, or could ship them. Thanks for reading this. And yes, they do go in the dishwasher. I know that wood and dishwashers don't mix, but these survived 35 years of dishwasher use.
