Well, as much as I love my hard to read factory iron sights I think an upgrade is in order. I'm open to upgrading my iron sights or even grabbing a red-dot or whatever. I'd appreciate as much input as possible so heres my rifle's stats.

Marlin 336 in .30-30, most of its work is 25-100 yards and its typically moving very swiftly. So quick acquisition and good visibility is a key. I was gonna go a creedmore sight or something but that seems like its set in a position where my thumb likes to sit. Anywho, I'm open to -any- suggestions ya'll wanna supply.

i love the xo ghost ring sights i put on my 336. between the ghost ring rear and the ramp front with the white line down the middle it made a big improvment over the stock sights and for the ranges you describe they would work well.

I second the recommendation for the XS sights - see here for details. I also strongly recommend their Scout scope mount - see here. It can be used with a red-dot sight or Scout or pistol scope, and when the scope/dot sight is dismounted, it can remain in place without obscuring the ghost-ring sight picture. I use Leupold QD rings for this purpose.

Try a receiver sight of some type in combination with a fiber optic front sight. It's almost like using a red dot.

As much as I really like my Marbles tang sight I think you are looking for this...
