I was wondering what everyone thinks about the Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker with the BOSS option in either the 300 WSM or the 325 WSM? The caliber looks to be efficient, and was hoping someone who had some experience with it could tell me about it, like if it's worth the money, what recoil is like, etc. Thanks.

SolaScriptura139,

While I dont have one in the calibers you mention, I do have one in .270 Win. I would say the *ONLY* issue I have with the gun is that it is "Made in Japan." That kind of tweaks me up!!....

But....other than that, it is a great shooting rifle. On many occasions I have shot it at 250 yards with 140gr Hornday HPBT bullets that run into 1.25 inches. Not bad for a factory rifle:) . I did do a trigger job on it and that helped a huge amount. I have a Leupold VX-III 3.5x10x50 scope on it and it is sweet:D .

The rifle is light, the composite stock is weather-proof, stainless steel finish. Great hunting rifle.

I would like to get one in the calibers you mentioned......go get it....

what .45man said! the only bug I have is mine is made in miroque (sp) Japan...

o well.
other then that my 30-06 rocks. I don't have the BOSS either. but I would buy another.. you will like it. the action is smoooth too. verry little bolt wobble, like some other guns I have used.

edit: and for a light gun, composit, stainless. the recoil is very easy. I can shoot 20 rounds through it and not be bothered. my AK is harder on the shoulder.
