I have a Winchester Model 12 shotgun manufactured in 1949 with two barrels. One barrel has a Pachmayr Power Pac choke chamber on the end. I need the choke tubes to screw into the choke chamber to make the barrel usable. See photos below. Can anybody help me find these chokes?

One barrel (no Power Pac) has the same serial number as the gun frame. The second barrel has the same number off by one digit in a middle digit (7434654 vs. 7435654, for example). In general, what can you tell me about this gun and the choke system it employs?

The last two Power Pac tubes I saw sold on ebay for something like $25 for the pair. Other than that I don't know a thing about them.

That company is still in business....

have you asked them? That choke looks like the Cutts compensator. It also has screw in choke tubes to regulate the pattern. Check with Brownells too.....chris3

Power-pac is not the same as a Cutts. The power-pac for 12 gauge seems to have been in 2 different tube thread and body sizes, so you can't depend on getting one without verification of diameter of a part of the outer diameter of the choke tube.
The threads of one size is about 1.1" for the threads just behind the knurled external collar, with the rear section about .92"
The other size is about .845" and the body (attached to the barrel) won't have enough clearance for the tube to go in a half inch before finding that tight spot, if you have the large tube and small body.
I thought that I might have one or two of those laying around, but would need to do a search.
I have actually re-choked these type tubes for special shooting, but it is just about as much work as re-choking a barrel, whether with tubes or a permanent insert. That is why some shooters that have barrels with these bring them to my shop to have them replaced with tubes or just to have some choke put into the barrel.

Read my previous posts for information from this gunsmith's perspective.
