years ago, i owned an early browning bps in 12 gauge. i lost it in a blackwater creek in eastern north carolina for two weeks, then recovered it, miraculously.
when recovered, it was locked tight. a smith in greenville, nc, cleaned and polished the interior. when i got it, the damn thing would nearly operate on gravity alone.
sad end to the story: bps stolen, smith deceased.
just for old time's sake, i got a new 20 ga bps. it's tight as dick's hat band, as they say in nc.
can someone offer/recommend a smith close to greensboro, nc, to do a complete "slickening" of the action?
