I need a decent hard case for 2 scoped rifles. I'd like to stay as far under $100 as I can, but if I'm carrying it around and I screw up the finish on one of my stocks because the case fell apart or the guns shifted in the foam because I was too cheap to buy a decent case I will cry.

I found these, but I am certainly open to other options. Do ya'll have any suggestions? :

reviews on the cheap ones say they seem to be flimsy and allow the rifles to slide. If you have one, do you agree?

Check out Pelican cases, they are spendy but are the very best. Amazon has/had 1750's for a little over $200.00, well worth the money if you love your guns.

What are you going to do with it?

Flying or traveling hard takes a much better case and depends on how much you like your rifles. Takes a good design to keep them from sliding into each other.

I would look at Pelican, Storm, ICC, and a few other higher end cases if you're looking at hard use. They will last you a lifetime.

just going from the house to the car to the range bench. through the pasture. I really like the pelican stuff, I just can't justify or afford it. Now, if I was flying, that's a whole different story. baggage handlers are.........indelicate with luggage.

I have a few different styles of cases.....and to be honest, when it comes to just going to the range or shooting specific trips...I tend to go for the soft cases. They are just easier to move around and/or pile up. The bigger rigid cases tend to take up a lot of space.
