Need recommendations -- 4" 1911 holster

I'm looking for a recommendation on some type of quick on/off crossdraw holster for a 4" 1911.

I'd normally get one from High Noon Holsters, but they don't seem to have anything like it. :-(

I'd prefer black leather. NO Kydex bodies, please. Paddle or snapped strap would be OK, as long as the paddle is not too stiff.

I'd call High Noon and ask.
The reason is a student didn't see one listed on the site,called and yep available and pretty quick as HN is prone to do. LW Commander. IIRC she inquired with Galco as well, just she was in a hurry and HN came through.

My current two carry guns ride in High Noon Sky High leather. Unlike the other ones I'd looked at, these not only mold to the gun right, but do not drive the muzzle into my hip.

Without it being listed on the website, I didn't think to ask them. I'm used to people saying what they have and not really wanting to deal with people asking for things they don't list. I guess I'll have to drop him another email.

Any other ideas?

What make and how stiff is that paddle?
Is the angle adjustable at all?

It is made by De Santis. The paddle is made out of formed plastic, but is not as big as my other paddle holster. This is the most comfortablr holster that I have ever worn.

It has 3 adjustable screws to adjust from strong side, butt forward to weak side, cross draw. Alot of adjustments in that pendulum swing.

The gun in the pic is a SA Micro .45 W/ 3-1/2" tube. It doesn't come to the bottom of the holster. About a 1/4" short. My Commander sticks out about 1/2".

Putting it on and taking it off is a breeze. Don't have to undo your belt.

I'm a little bit hesitant to grab anything with a formed plastic paddle without seeing it. Once Upon A Time I had a Fobus paddle, and the paddle would dig in something fierce unless I kept it in the exact right place...

I have a fobue paddle holster for my Bersa .380 and it is nowhere as comfortable as the De Santis paddle. Not even in the same league. The fobus hangs lower than the 45 holster, even the 45 is a 4-1/2" and the Bersa is a 3-1/2". Just the holster design. Find a De Santis dealer and go into the place a try it on. It is the inner piece (right), for the Colt Officers.

The actual paddle is thicker in the paddle and has rounded edges, as opposed to the thin plastic on the fobus.//img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/tucker13/45-flat.jpg

Amish- The MacDaniel II that I've carried for three years was $65 for the Mustang size. The MacDaniel II Crossdraw I have ordered was $78 for the Pocket Nine size. The 1911- 4" may be the same or slightly more. Just give Sam a call if you're interested. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have had excellent results with FIST!!

Whenever I have had something special I wanted I just called up and talked to them. Jim Murnak is the holster expert there and he is just that, a real expert! I really favor their #1 IWB holster. It has a metal clip and you can put it just about anywhere on your belt. I tried one with cross draw and it was quite satisfactory - to me. I suggest that you call them up and see what they can do for you. By the way their prices are really reasonable. FYI http://www.fist-inc.com/. Good shooting
