So I got a good deal on this Remington 742 in .308. It shoots like a dream and .308 is my fav. so i wanted to make it a nice accurate all around carbine/hunting/plinker. So I got a nice thumbhole buttstock, a nice 9x leapold scope, and Ive ordered this front stock that has a rail built in, kinda makes it look like a m14 and free floats the barrel and leaves room should i want to put a H-bar on it. what Im looking for is a high capacity magizine. it came with a 4 round mag. I got this plastic 10 roung mag that works fine.
someone told me there use to be a guy that can take these 4 round mags and cutt them up and weld the top onto a m14 mag and youll have a 20 or 30 round mag for your 742 and I cant find any info on this what so ever. any ideas? links? I wouldlike to have a 20 or 30 round mag for it.
