need rem 742 schematics

can anyone provide me with the take down procedure and schematics for a remington 742 woods master 30-06?

im cleaning it for a friend and would like to do as good of a job as i can.

Remington has an online manual for the Model 7400, which is an updated version of the 742 - see here.

Gun Parts Corp. has a schematic drawing of the 742 here.

Contact Remington and they will send you a copy (photocopy, not original) of the 742 owner's manual. I requested one through Remington's website and received it shortly thereafter. You can request manuals for any Remington model that way.
