This may be off-topic but, since there seems to be a better collection of readers and thinkers here than anywhere else, I've decided to ask a question.
I have the 'skeleton' of a quote running through my poor mind and I'd like to get it fleshed out. It goes something like 'If it is war they want, then let it begin here!'
Anybody recognize it? I thought of Patrick Henry but I haven't been able to find it in his stuff. Maybe Shakespeare or somebody...
Help!

John Parker, Captain of the 70 Lexington Minutemen facing 700 heavily armed British soldiers said "Stand your ground. Don't fire until fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here."

Captain Parker's Musket...

Hangs in the MA state house.

It briefly had a triggerlock on it, pursuant to one of their assinine laws. (If anyone has a pic, I'd love it!)

Personally, I believe Captain Parker's descendants would be well within their rights to march up to the statehouse, and demand the return of their ancestor's arms, as MA is clearly no longer worthy of it.

Silly ole yanks!

We just hired a guy from bean town--we get along great, but he's sure not used to people having their own "arsenals" (I have like a half dozen popguns, dozen tops.)

I'll have him out running the 75 rounds through the AK soon enough!

(no serious offense intended to the sane yanks--we got politians with silly ideas down here too. now that I think of it, they all pronounce cars and bars, caws and baws....)

NOTE: I was just struck by the enormous sacrifice and bravery exhibited by those fine gentlemen from bean town and all around what was forged into the USA. I hope we're up for the task of protecting that legacy--from abroad and from within.

All I know is it's sure been mighty quiet about any AWB since Pres Bush's reelection. Pray that some nut job doesn't do something tragic to stir up the Democrat hornet's nest before 2008 It's sure nice watching these weapons gather up in quantity and selection at the gun shows, while seeing the price gradually drop too.

With all this legal concealed carry in 38 states now, (and no problems) people can't be expected to swallow all the anti-gun hysteria.
