Need some options.....

Talked to a gunsmith at the gunshow today.
Said he'd build me a 6.5x55mm gun on a VZ-24 action.

The decison I need to make is what barrel to use. A&B or E.R. Shaw?
Which is better or are they about the same? The price is not.

Or are there others that I need to consider?

Another question, will a Win Mod. 70 barrel fit the VZ-24?

Finally. to keep cost down, is there anything wrong with a synthetic stock?

Consider a Douglass for the barrel. The M70 will not directly screw onto a M98. Nothing wrong with a synthetic stock....depends on what it is. Injected molded plastic isn't anything like a high quality fiberglass or kevlar stock. Beware of the old saying: you get what you pay for. Might look at a laminated stock, such as a Boyd's.
