I am presently doing some work in MT and don't have a dedicated gun for the pesty creatures out here.
I have been invited to eradicate some 'yotes on some surrounding ranches, but all I have with me is my AR10, M1A, and a swiss K31.
I don't want to use the K31, although I may play with it a little bit, I have some softpoint ammo for it and a nice factory peep sight set up for it.
But, I would like to use either the M1A or the AR10 as my primary gun.
I know that there is a 110 grain bullet for the .308, yet I can't find it loaded commercially.
I think te 110gr would be a nice round from the AR10 to put some serious hurt on the 'yotes.
So, my question is, does anyone know where I can get some 110gr .308, or am I going to have to use a heavier bullet for now.
I do not reload, so that is not an option. But I can tell you when I move here in the summer, one of my first purchases will be a reloading setup.
Any help, or suggestions on ammo would be greatly appreciated, along with any tips on hunting these critters.
thanks
