Both speak espanol, but Star went belly up in the 90s.

When you get the Bersa, give us a range report. I'd like to know how accurate it is. It's certainly a compact package. That little Star was a pretty danged good shooter, under 2" at 25 yards for several brands of ammo. And, it fed and fired really dependably. A pistol that size that's that accurate is really handy afield. I was miffed to lose it even though it didn't cost that much.

Take a look at a S&W p22. SOUNDS LIKE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. I HAVE A M41 ALSO THAT I USE FOR SQUIRRELS. The P22 is a Walther gun and is a very well made firearm for the money. Actualy I was surprised how cheap they were for what you get.

When i read your first post i knew that was what you wanted. I want one too. But i don't think they import them right now. Maybe you could contact bersa about it.

walther p22 with the longer target barrel is loads of fun, just a suggestion, my friend has the one that came with the short barrel and he bought the longer target one later and now with well over 5k rounds later its still taking a licking

in terms of reliability I would say thats pretty damn good, we have faithfully kept it cleaned and lubed when not at the range and it only stayed dirty on the short trip home from being finished at the range, IMHO he got his inital 230 dollars worth and the 100 dollar target barrel was also worth the investment

that bersa looks cool though, good luck in finding one, it has a walther p38 look to it almost, cosmetically I like it :D

I know a lot of folks have the Smith and Wesson P22s but I do not know what sort of accuracy they have.

Please let me know the accuracy on them.

The Bersa Thunder 22-6 will be imported in Feb or March according to the folks in Jersey.

What is sad is that there are probably 100 Walther P-22 sold for every Bersa .22lr pistol. The Bersa is better in all areas but people just don't know much about them. I would love to see a few more Bersas on the shelves and a few less cheap junk pistols like the Walther P-22.

I have a ruger mkIII 22/45, which I like... my wife has a neos by beretta, which we like... I shot a rental s&w .22 auto at the shop I work/help out at and I wish I had bought one of those... they are considerably cheaper than alot of .22's and they shoot great.

Junk? If that's what you call a quality, reliable, accurate, and affordable gun, then I agree.

I have not had a single problem with mine, nor do I know anyone who has, please educate me on why my gun is junk.

(as for accuracy, I can shoot a bottlecap off a fence post from about 15 paces, not bad for around $270 I think.)

The p22 had ALOT of problems when they first arrived.
The newer models don't have these problems. Did alot of research at rimfirecentral.com a few months ago. Was gonna buy one, but had some undexpected expenses and never got around to it.

P.S. Everyone I know who bought the Firestorm/Bersa loved it. Same for the Beretta Cheetah.
