the pics dont match up. its a fake. its a few years old; PETA circulated them for awhile

I did a google on "deer arrow head" and guess what........It a common thing to see

Looks real to me. By the length of the arrow it looks like it came from either a crossbow or a kid, my guess would be the later.

Assuming the photo's are real and not chopped ... The arrow is off center enough on the head (this is most visable on the first photo) that the arrow could well have missed the brain. I was surprised just how small the brain cavity is in the skull of the blacktail I shot this year.

As long as she doesn't develop a nasty infection leading to septic shock or something she could very well survive until next hunting season.

because it is plausable that this could be "photo shop" , could it not be plausable that since the pictures are different dates that the bolt has moved from being caught on something?

That picture may be a fake, but on our farm this year while rifle hunting we saw a doe with half an arrow protruding from her left front shoulder. It did not seem to impede her walk and she seemed oblivious to it, but it was not a happy thing to see (nor did I enjoy finding a paralyzed spine-shot doe once in Colorado). The poster is right, we all need to make that shot the best it can be.

there are a whole series of pics, about 7 or 8, from two dates. none match up if you look real close.

It looks like when she eats off the ground the arrow hits the dirt and gets pushed further into the skull.
