Newest Front Sight (Vol. 20 #1) mag came today. Page 31 details some major problems with the SX2 involving the shell stop and carrier; double feeds and locking up of the carrier that prevents reloading. Guess they still have some bugs.

Figures........I just bought one today from a friend. He says it runs sweet though...........He's got enough Benelli's that he didn't need the Practical anymore.................oh well..........

3 gun shotgun

I have just got back into shooting. I have decided to shoot 3 gun. I recently purchased a SVI pistol, a JP rifle and a Remington 1187P shotgun. I will not be shooting the open class. My pistol is a limited gun and my rifle will be set up for tactial scope.

I need to modify my shotgun, but not sure about the rules. Is it true that the barrel length needs to be 22 in. and the mag capacity is 8+1 and can't be more than 23 in., which is one inch past the barrel?

If my information is correct then I can't find a new 22 in barrel, so I guess everyone is cutting the barrel down. I'm in San Diego, CA. Is there anyone close to me that can prepare my shotgun for competition? If not, who should I send it to? Also, what sights are the most popular? I was going to purchase a tactical shotgun from JP, but they only have right handed ones.

The 1100 is more reliable, in my limited experience, if you clean the gas ports regularly, and use the longer Choate follower.

The Saiga puts you in Open class because the magazine is considered a loading device. That's fine if you want to be there.
