My wife and I have been having the debate over carrying a concealed weapon. Her biggest objection is the "I'm afraid the weapon will get turned on me". While conversationally speaking, I have counter arguments galore, she's wanting proof outside of my "opinion". I'm looking for statistics, or case studies. If anyone knows a good site(s) to obtain this information, or other information relevant to the positive nature of concealed weapons, please help me out here. Thanks in advance.

I don't think I've ever heard a statistic on it, likely because it rarely happens.

Certainly more rarely than an anti says "The bad guy will just take it away from you and shoot you".

My response to this is "Well if it's that easy to take a gun from someone, I'll just take it right back again and shoot him with it." Right?

I can't help you out with the statistics, either.

But what I would recommend is that you have a discussion about situational awareness. As a woman, and a small one at that, I know that if I were taken by surprise it would be easy for a perp to overpower me and take my weapon from me. That is, if he even knew I carried.

The key is to avoid situations where you could be vulnerable, always be aware of your surroundings and where a possible threat might come from, etc. And if you do happen to be threatened, don't let the perp get close enough to take the gun away.

Lets look at the equation in another manner. Tell her to come up with the statistics that it will be used on you. If the facts support that conclusion then they would not issue ccw permits.

the only way the gun will get turned on you is if you freeze, and can not pull the trigger. that is a very important question that each individule must ask, and honestly answer to him/herself BEFORE they pick up a gun for self preservation. if you are not willing, or capable of actually pulling the trigger to stop the attack, leave the gun in the safe, and buy a can of pepper spray and a loud whistle.
