Received a Nelson Custom conversion a few days ago.
This unit is an upgrade of the old Marvel "Unit 1"; slide lock on last round, dryfire acceptable, steel sight rib that more closely approximates original 1911 slide weight. Bob Marvel designed this unit.
The maching/fabrication is done by Mcmillan-barrel/stock makers. This from Larry Nelson.
I put an Adco 1.5" dot scope on the unit and headed to the range.
After initial sighting in I shot for group @ 25 yds., 50 yds. being pointless in the 20-30 mph wind (gotta love Kansas).
Ammo was middle of the road Aguila standard velocity.
Groups were benchrested.
The largest of the five shot groups were 11/16" with two at 3/8".
Function through 400 rds. has been 100%.
My guess is with a 2X pistol scope and good ammo (TenX) this is a <3/4" @ 50 yds. unit.
