Found this today at Lightfighter. It is the GCode SOC Rig tactical holster. Kinda pricey though at $145.00. The cowling that fits around the frame is interchangeable to standard and light mount models. Kinda cool!

For a "military" holster, it doesn't offer a lot of protection for the pistol, either. Go ahead, low-crawl thorugh a muddy trench with that rig on, see what kind of shape your pistol is in when you're done.

I hope it at least has a closed bottom so as to keep crap out of the barrel.

Unlike others this holster incorporates a barrel plug so that when the weapon is seated dust, dirt or muck has little or no opportunity to make it into the muzzle.

The rig has undergone near two years of continuous testing and development in real world scenarios by genuine operators. I have not received one holster back from any of these. At present there more then 1500 of these setups in Iraq. As such the rig really dose provide excellent protection to the weapon without encumbering its tactical deployment.

Other features that enhance the tactical utility of the holster are the precision match geometry of the rig to the weapon. It offers a nice snap & pop fit with a slick, no snag, no drag draw. The fit further eliminates rattle and the weapon placement is always in the same place. Nice when your life depends on a rapid indexing of the weapon. High security with the ability to deploy the weapon rapidly was one of the major goals with this rig. As such the retention canopy is spring loaded. The operator moves down to acquire a firing grip and activates the release with his thumb. The canopy snaps forward so the up stroke of the draw can be immediate. No one, two, three sequence to slow down the effort of getting the weapon on target. The intended user of this holster is normally carrying the handgun as the transition weapon. When they engage they use the long gun first, firing until it malfunctions or they empty the mag. At that point they transition to the handgun. The fight is already on when they go for the pistol so the need for speed is dire and the stress level off the scale. As such should they be dealing with dust covers or anti gun-grab devices? They of course say no and that is why this holster has developed as it has … to specifically meet the needs of the guys who work with their weapons.

Finally; the modularity of the cowling system allows us to precision match the fit of the rig to any under mounted handgun light or accessory with no loss or compromise in performance. It’s just as tight and just as fast as the gun- only. As the changing technology of weapon lights is offering ever improved gadgets to attach to your gun (about one new break through every three months) it is difficult for some units to keep up in effective ways to carry these. With the SOC rig the cowling is interchangeable and cost about $20.00 to upgrade the holster. The operator dose not need a new holster or to retrain in manipulating such.
