Given that my (Ultra Compact) 1911 still needs some major tuning, I needed a way to deal with all the extra ammo the 1911 won't eject or feed properly.
What soloution do you have for retrieving spent brass from your semi autos?
I would shoot my .45 ACP much more if picking up the brass wasn't such a hassle!
Well ... sorry to say the only solution I have for that is the same one as for the ammo that won't feed.
In fact ... this was a side benefit that was NOT lost on me the first trip to the range with the 625. Mentioned it to my friend that this was the first time I've ever gotten 100% of my brass back shooting .45 ACP.
100%? Hec ... it was the first time I've gotten over about %50-%60 of my brass back.

I finally got a 625-8JM last month. It goes with my 25-2. They are both great for shooting .45 ACP reloads that don't gage up properly. I also got a new pile of .45 AR cases so I don't have to hassle with moon clips. I also have several 1911's, but I have been shooting the wheelguns lately.
I got a 625 when I started reloading figuring the same thing. Practice while saving all the brass and a way to shoot rounds that are a little too long or whatever for the 1911.
Rationalization is a wonderful thing...so are 625's
I love my 625-8, never had a problem with it whatsoever. Great gun, very accurate, plus it was the first gun I ever bought with my own money, so it's really the first to go into my collection.
