Well, not "in the house." Pick it up tomorrow. Due to the Christmas rush, the background check was delayed. Anyway, my wife bought me a new CZ over/under Canvasback, 26 inch barrels, 5 chokes included. Last one in my local Gander Mountain stock. After researching and handling all over/unders less than $1000, I settled on the CZ-USA. I even examined the new Ruger Red Label, but I could not get past those separated barrels. With the CZ, picking a spot on the wall and raising the gun to my shoulder, the front bead sits atop the rail pointed exactly at the spot. Now, if it only shoots as good as it points. Nothing fancy about the Turkey made gun, but it sure fits.

Now get to your local trap skeet club with a variety of ammo and using their pattern plate, see where it shoots.

Gotta love new guns at Christmas time"............ :D

Hmm, have to check one out. Most of the turk guns I've tried fit me like a 2x4. Let us know how it works on the pattern board. :D

.
CZ makes great guns. They have an excellent reputation for accuracy.

I don't have a CZ shotgun but I do have a CZ 527 Carbine, and every. time. I shoulder it I think to myself, "what a sweet little rifle". It comes to my eye naturally, and with amazing balance. Shoots straight, too!

Please post some pictures! when you can.

Merry Christmas to you!

I just went pheasant hunting with a guy that bought one of those in 16ga. They are nice guns. Does yours have a 2 band sight ? The sight that was on his was an exact copy of the old Ithaca Raybar 2 band sight. It had a yellowish-green clear insert instead of the Ithaca red-orange clear insert.

CZ does NOT make their shotguns; they are made for them in Turkey by Huglu. Does not mean the Turkish guns are bad, but many think they are getting Czech-built guns when they are not.

Here 'tis. Cleaned of factory gunk, oiled and ready. Going to rain here for next 3 days. Rats! I'm retired and to me, this is more expense than I should have took on. It's not a $3000 Italian or even a Red Label, but in 9 months at $90 per month, she's all mine and more than I ever thought I'd have. Maybe only a step up from a Stoeger, but I had to rule out that one because it didn't fit perfectly like the Canvasback. Can't wait to get to the pattern board! Thanks for looking. (Cell phone pics not so good.)

The new Ruger is a much better shotgun. The space between the barrels allows them to cool faster when shooting rounds of skeet etc. It was designed by the same guy that designed the Browning Cynergy, which is a step above the Citori.

Hex, be happy for me like the other guys. I think you are right about the Red Label, but I could not afford it, neither did I want it. The separated barrels make it look goofy, IMO. To each his own.
