I just got one of these. Its a Rossi pump action .22:

The barrel is marked: ".22 S*L*LR" dose this it man it can reliable chamber, fire, and repeat .22 short?
It is a dream with .22lr.

As for the sights, what is this style called? How do i adjust for elevation? I assume you drift the dovetail for windage.

It also has no safeties, is half cock "safe" if i want to keep a round in the chamber? Half cock seems to lock the pump and the trigger.

Those are fine little 22s, half cock is your safety. Drift front for windage or gestimate. They will function with .22 short, long or long rifle. Much fun, good score, enjoy.

S-short
L-long
LR- long rifle

good luck finding a long. but you're good for any. it's won't handle a 22 mag.

slide the notchy thing backwards to raise the rear sight and point of impact. drift the front or back for windage

you should be able to physically lift the rear sight, and that metal tab with the knotches will move forward and backwards, allowing the sight to rest on the knotches at different heights. That is how you adjust your elevation, it should just be spring tension.
