Hi all, I saw a little carbine on the Outdoor channel a week or so ago and can't find out the name or model?

The carbine was featured in one of the shows and was solid black, very, very short and shot .223 or matbe...9mm rounds. For the life of me I can't remember the maker or anything. The carbine is supposedly a new edition gun and is semi auto. It had a bull barrel I think? (sorry, I only caught the last couple minutes of the show which was tactical shooting of a pistol and the carbine; showing the best position to shoot this carbine accurately, etc)

Can anyone please help me find the name of this carbine? I've looked online but to no avail. I'd really like to buy one if it isn't too expensive.

Seems like the maker's name consisted only of initials...ex: XYZ or YZ or something like that. It looked like a tiny, short AR 15.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or, if you know of a good carbine of .223 caliber which is very short and for home defense or close range...I'd really appreciate that, also. (I can afford the AR's or Bushmasters and this model was, I think, a very affordable carbine.)

Many Thanks for any efforts posted,

Firefall

If you go to the outdoor channel page (http://www.outdoorchannel.com/index.cfm) it gives you a listing of shows and showtimes. Maybe that could help you narrow down what show it was on, then perhaps you can find that show and it'll tell you. On the other hand if you know who was hosting it and it happened to be Tom Gresham, you can always message him on here at his username GunTalk.

It could have been 100 different types of AR15 style carbine by almost ANY manufacturer...

What would be better is if you told us all what you wanted in an AR15 carbine and what purposes you wanted it to serve and then we could point you in the right direction.

This is my favorite AR carbine.

DPMS? RRA?

Best option (without going title II):

They retail for $550-$600

I really appreciate all the help from you guys, a LOT! Thank you much!

The show was on when I came home that day and as usual, I only caught the last 3 minutes of it. (you may have done this before, too, and know how frustrating it is?) LOL

I'll sure check out all the options provided and post which carbine it was. It was a guy who shows the proper ways to hold a weapon for support and accuracy; a man who is dark headed and appears to be about 50 if I'm a good guesser. His shows have a nice shooting range and he shoots from Police cars, barricades and other ways. And the man is a top-notch shooter, too! He wears dark glasses. (I know this just pinpoints his id to a tee, doesn't it?!...LOL) Sorry.

I'd really like to have a nice little carbine for home defense situations without spending a bundle on it. This one really struck my fancy, guys. Small little gun but looked great! The man firing it was showing how to load a clip correctly with the 'top' (first) round on either the left or right; and how to quickly manually place a round into the chamber....?

I'll try and look at the programming info to see what I can locate it there, too. Also the links to sites.

If all else fails I'll give Tom Gresham a PM or email to see if he would be kind enough to help a forgetful pilgrim out. :)

(Robarms seems to strike a bell as my name is Rob and it made me pay attention more to the carbine) But I can't be sure. doggoneit! hehe

Talk soon.....

My best to all,
Firefall

Fellows, after all this time now, I finally remembered the man's name who fired and instructed firing of the little carbine on the Outdoor Channel.

His name was Tod Jarrett (Pro Shooting Instructor) if I recalled correctly. I have been sick for a couple of weeks and unable to search or respond, but the carbine was fired by this man and was available in 9mm and .223.

I will see if I can find the name of the carbine he fired which IIRC was in the $300 range.

Hopefully this will ring a bell with someone and I can read about this little carbine? I'd appreciate it kindly, fellows!

Sincerely,
Firefall
