Personally I would go with williams peep sights, I have them and like them a whole lot. I think they look better on the rifle as well.

Couple thoughts:

1. Nothing wrong with the Turner sling, but unless you're going to use it as shooting sling like in service rifle matches, a less complicated sling will serve just as well for carrying the rifle.

2. That's an expensive rifle case!

I have the Skinner sights on my 39a and the Williams sights on my 1894c. From an aesthetics standpoint, the Skinner wins hands down. It looks like it's an original part of rifle, whereas the Williams looks like a tumor. I really like the sight picture of the Skinner aperture rear and post front combo.

Ditto the sling comment. When I think Turners sling, I think of guys in shooting jackets shooting bedded rifles at high power matches. A simple carry sling might serve better on the 336.

While the Skinner sight may look better (to some), you cannot get is as low as the Williams FP (on the older side mount rifles anyway). I love the Skinner front sights, but will stick with my proven Williams FP rear sights. I dont think they detract from the looks of the rifle at all.

you can simplify the sling and gun case and save some money...unless you live in an area that has legislation that mandates storing the weapon in a higher security storage container...then you might have to get a solid type case with locks

I have a set of Williams Firesights for Lever Action Rifles on my Marlin 1894C(fits most Winchesters and Marlins); they are high visibility and dovetail into the front sight base and rear sight spot on the barrel; this allows me to use a weaver style base on the receiver and quick release rings to remove my scope when using the rifle for camp defense or plinking and put the scope on for hunting season; the Firesights sit high enough to use with the scope base and I have a dual purpose gun whenever I need/want

I would also suggest a sturdy buttcuff to store extra ammo on board; Bagmaster makes some good ones that are not elastic and won't slide up and down the buttstock...they cost @ $10 each; I have several ordered for my rifles and shotgun
