Hey guys, I just got my new 590a1 in from clyde armory as well as the low tube M4 stock kit for it from mesa tactical, so I figued I may as well post some pics of it.

Check the pics out here: www.ossat.org/590a1

This kit seems to be quite well made, nice job mesa. I can't wait to try out the gun on the range with the new stock! :)

where in SC are you at. I shoot USPSA at Granitville and Mid Carolina.

I'm in Charleston... not sure how far away either or the site you mentioned are. *shrug*

I live in Bluffton/Hilton Head area where do you shoot there?
A 590a1 is my next gun also the perfect house/trunk selfdense weapon.
How does it shoot? How much was the mossberg?

I usually shoot my handguns at the Trader World indoor range when I'm working on technique. Now when I'm just going to shoot for fun or shoot that new shotgun, I go to the outdoor rifle range off of Hwy 17 in the francis marion national forrest.

I completely agree with you on the uses for the 590... I'm thinking seriously about mounting that joker in my trunk. Until then, home defense it is. As for how it shoots, I really can't be a good judge of that. I've only put about 50 rounds through it and those were bird shot. One issue that I did have with a couple of the rounds was that they seemed to become stuck in the chamber after firing. In order to get them you you had to put two hands on the forend to be able to force the action open and thereby eject the shell. This could very well be a result of the cheap ammo I was using. Once I put some good through it I will hopefully be able to tell. Cost of the gun was abount $350 from clyde armory in GA. No where locally even carried the 18.5" barrelled 590a1! Also, the mesa tactical M4 stock conversion kit was $230. From the looks of this kit (haven't shot the gun with it yet) it is well made and should be able to stand any abuse I send its way. I'm planning on getting a surefire 623fa too, I'll post more pics once I have it.

Hope this helps bud... we should meet up at the range someday to go through a few boxes. :)

I think Vang makes a one round extension for the 590, however the cost is about 75 clams.

edit: It's not listed under the magazine tubes link, but it is listed on the price sheet.

ouch! 75 for one extra round hurts. How about a good sling setup, anyone got any suggestions?

Does any body have a 590a1 with that been VanComped?
in0de - Any time! Give me a range report with buck and slug when you can.
