Nice...keep the powder out of the keyboard, makes for a hell of a time cleaning unless you take it apart. And for godsake, get yourself a better mouse pad :p. I keep my droid handy at the reloading bench, helps to be able to call up my loaddata on my pc when i need it.

Bds,
ThAnk you! I'm going to order that one right now! And y'all don't be making fun of my awesome micro fiber towel mouse pad, it got me through the Obama administration!

I have enough problems trying to keep my Wife and grand kids from distracting me as it is. I deffinitely don't need anything else to distract me. But other than that, sounds really cool!

my computer is not on the bench, but it is only 10 feet away. it is close enough that it is more convenient for me to log on, find hodgdons reloading sirte, and look up load data rather that find my glasses, get a particular book (or two, or three) to look up data. my next computer will be a laptop, so i can put it anywhere i want.

I don't want a computer, phone, laptop or anything else anywhere NEAR my bench. Too much distraction. If I need data off a website, I'll print out what I need and take one piece of paper to the bench.

My reloading room is also my computer room.

PC is on the west wall, reloading bench is on the east wall.

Did anyone look at the reviews of that roll up keyboard?
Sounds like it doesn't work very well.

Hondo, yes it doesn't have the same smooth feel as the regular keyboard but if you want a spill/dust/grease proof keyboard you can wash down, it's hard to beat - you'll find most mechanics using them.

You can also "plastic cling wrap" your keyboard ... beats trying to clean crud out of keyboards. :D

Sorry. The link I posted was for blue color. Here's the link for black - http://www.amazon.com/Foldable-flexible-Spill-Resistant-Response/dp/B000BHB5YW/ref=pd_sim_e_4

Instead of a bulky computer, keyboard and monitor....replace all that with an iPad or Android based pad.

If im going to be sitting down i prefer a real keyboard. I use my DroidX to access my desktop to get load data. Other wise its nicer to go to a computer. Just my opinion of course.

Not my idea. I just kept seeing mechanics using plastic cling wrap on their keyboards for their greasy fingers and went ... Dang, why didn't I think of that! :D Goes to show great practical solutions don't always have to be expensive or highly engineered. I mean, what did we do before paper clips?

As to my new addition to the bench, wife got me a Kindle Fire! Now I could access all of my reloading load data/online reference/favorite loads etc. at the bench while reading THR, watching Netflix, listening to music, etc. (I know, I know ... distractions only for resizing/depriming/hand priming - only music for reloading ;)). Now I need to root the Kindle Fire for Android so I could make/receive calls/texts using WiFi. :D

Yes, I keep distractions away from the reloading bench when I am reloading - the final assembly stages of powder charge and bullet seating. Although I find the right kind of music helps me relax and better focus when performing these tasks.

However, when I am depriming/resizing pistol/rifle cases, trimming/chamfering rifle cases, and hand priming cases; they are done more by "feel" requiring less focus and I do it while watching TV/computer (I use a 2'x3' portable castered bench that I roll around the house).
