New Ak clone (STG-2000C)

I was just over on the Saiga forum and saw this thread:

Anybody know about these AK clones (STG-2000C)?

The price sure looks decent ($380) for hammer forged, chrome line bbls. Im just wondering how they compare to Romanian, Saiga (Russian), or others.

I do believe these are built on Romanian receivers. Looks nice. I'm no AK expert but aren't the American made (ProMag) magazines these come with supposed to be terrible?

Those look nice. I am going to have to check into that.

Still, I believe my next AK's will be the Saiga 7.26x39 and 223.

I can do the conversion work myself and maybe save a few dollars -- and know what I can expect from them by the experieces of all the folks on the Saiga forums.

Everything I have read about these rifles indicates they are essentially WASRs dressed up to look like a German Weiger.

hmmm..... nm then. Not saying the WASR isn't a good cheap AK, but I'll dress up my own and KNOW what I have.
