New AR Build - white smoke from receiver

I am a complete novice to ARs. Just put one together with a complete upper assembly and lower build kit.

I've fired one live round through it. When I did, I noticed white smoke coming from where the lower and upper assembly come together.

Is this the lube from the factory burning off? Noticed it was pretty wet with lube. Or could there be another more serious issue.

Unless you have a steam powered rifle, it's just lube and smoke from the barrel coming back after the bolt has opened.

Thanks. I expected a little on the ejection port. Just not that much and it coming from the left side. Thanks again.

Put 50 more rounds through it quickly, and get back to us on the gas-escape issues.

It's operating fine now. Ran a patch through the barrel. No excessive white smoke. Looks normal. Thanks everyone.
