I am the proud owner of a new 9mm AR.

As we all know, 5.56/.223 ammo prices have going nowhere but up. Assuming of course, if you can even find it when you have the money to buy it.

So I decided I needed something that was cheaper to shoot but still effective against the dreaded invasion of coffee cans that seem to appear out of nowhere in the desert. No too mention SD/HD and *cough*zombies*cough*.

The upper and lower were purchased from Ameetec Arms. It also includes a Hahn dedicated mag block and modified Uzi mags. I have Promag mags on the way from Midway. The rifle is also sporting a S.P.O.T red dot scope and a LMT BUIS. Which are hand-me-downs from another AR that is now outfitted with a Eotech and fold down BUIS.

I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but I am taking out this weekend to get it sighted in. I will be happy to post a range report if anyone is interested.

Off to Wal-mart to clean them out of 9mm value paks. :D

Yeah, I thought about that once myself, ended up buying a Hi-Point carbine for $179 and using the rest of the money saved to buy big amounts of ammo..

I've been eyeballing the dedicated Olympic 9mm AR that uses Glock mags. If I ever see on in the fun store, I'll no doubt buy it on the spot.
