new ar15 build question??

Google AR bolt carrier differences, to determine which carrier style you have, an AR15 style can be considerably lighter than a M16 style and cause excessive bolt speed also.

Now I was just playing with my ar and my buddies I only have a 7 1/2" buffer tube can that be the whole prob is that is to short??

That's not the problem. 7.25" is standard length for a mil spec carbine buffer tube.
