New band saw, 14" Rigid. 14" is the distance between the blade and the housing arm -- so you can swing a 14" radius cut on the blade.
Cast iron table tilts 45 degrees, accepts a mitre guide. 3/4 HP induction motor to rip 6" oak.
Anyways -- it got delivered about a week early. Now I need to put it together out of the box.
What's this got to do with firearms? I'm building a naval carriage for a small cannon, for starters. Fancy wood grips for handguns, rifle stocks, and down the road probably a field carriage for a cannon.
Warning!
Don't get the "cannon itch" . . . It gets really addictive.
