New barrel for Rem 700LH 30/06

I have a Rem 700LH 30/06. I want to replace the barrel . It is used mostly for target shooting, but I also use it to hunt deer and antelope in the open country in MT. I was thinking (maybe not thinking enough) about a 26in heavy barrel. Iwould appreciate any help on a good length and rifling. I shoot 150 and 165gr bullets.

If you plan on walking a lot while hunting you probably do not want a heavy 26in barrel.
