Got sidetracked for awhile when I picked up a Para GI Expert 1911 and a Mosin on the same day with LOTS of ammo for both
But I'm back to something I was trying to decide before they came along. I'd like a .308, primarily for hunting whitetails and occasionally punching holes in paper. It'll have a wood stock (I know all the reasons for synthetic, and they're all correct, but wood just looks better and I like it) and I can put no more than $800 in gun and glass.
I like the trigger on the Tikka T3 Lite's I've handled. Does the Hunter model carry the same trigger? Also heard good things about Stevens/Savage lately.
Recommendations and/or opinions?
