new book on the "gun culture"

below is a link on a new book out: Shooters: myths and realities of America's gun cultures. The editorial review and a brief excerpt from the book on Instapundit.com (a good blog to review daily) show that it might be a decent book. I haven't read it yet, but I think I'll get it.

I also read about it on Instapundit.com this morning. I walked over to Borders at lunch and bought a copy. I've briefly browsed through the book and it looks like a positive and nuianced view of gun owners. Much of the research as done in the SF Bay Area.

The June/July 2004 issue of Handguns had a very positive review. I ordered the book but I haven't read it yet.
