New Burris 2x or used Leupold M8 2x

I’m currently running an Ultradot 25 on my 44 mag Super RedHawk I use for deer hunting and am thinking I’d like to try a scope over the course of the next year to see if I like it more than the red dot before next deer season. It appears a used Leupold M8 2x on eBay is about the same price as a new Burris 2x20, Leupold apparently discontinued their 2x fixed power. Which would be the better option?

On my 2nd Burris and no problems . Lots of other people here with the Leupold , I’m sure they’ll chime in . Either would be a good choice .

I have no experience with the Leupold.

I have the Burris 2x and an UltraDot Gen 2 with the 2 moa dot, instead of the Gen 1's 4 moa dot.

The Burris has a better anti-reflective coating than the UltraDot. But, the UltraDot is easier for me to use as long as I can see the target well without magnification.

Leupold! then send to Leupold to have them adjust or refinished

Both the good and bad…I bought a used Leupold 2X for a pistol…I wanted to try the famous warranty, and sent it off. Home came a new 4X…do not get me wrong, outstanding service, but I really wanted the 2X….

I used to handgun hunt a lot with both and preferred Leupold.

I have a perfect like new condition Leupold 2x I was just getting ready to list.

I also have a new in box Burris 2-7 posi lock I'm going to sell.

Ejects them just fine . Hasn’t missed a beat yet . This one too .
