You're looking at it all wrong.
Dig a pit and cook that ham in the ground.
Invit 50 of your closest friends and tell them they must supply their own drinks. Before you know it, 2/3 of them are drunk and pickin that ham bone clean. All the while reminding each other what a great and unselfish guy you are for inviting them to join in your good luck.
You're the hit of the town before you know it!

uh Oh yeah, might want to fix a smaller ham in the oven for your own use. ;)

Domestics do grow tusks, so that isn't proof that the hog is wild. Almost all ferals have one thing in common, they have erect ears. On occasion you might get one that sags a bit from a fight, but in 17yrs of shooting them I have never seen one with droopy ears like that hog. I've shot em, dogged em, trapped em, and killed em in various other ways. I took over 1,000 head off one ranch for depradation purposes one year. I've never seen a droopy eared feral hog. Never seen one close to that size.

I have to get some pics scanned of a domestic escapee we killed for a farmer awhile back. With his butt touching the cab his nose hung off the tailgate of a long bed pick-up. He weighed 495lbs dressed weight. We had to weigh him in sections. Of that number the hide and head was 170lbs.

I think that is a big hog, but that isn't 1100lbs of pork. I say that is a domestic escapee or one turned loose for a "Hunt" and that it weighs roughly 700lbs on the hoof. I watched a hog go through an auction ring two years ago that weighed 997lbs and it made that sucker look like a baby.

That's the travelin'-est hog I ever did see!

I've gotten emails, and I read one newspaper article about that hog. He was killed in south central Georgia; he was killed in northeast Texas, and now he's been killed in Florida.

What are we gonna have as a new Resurrection, "Easter For Hogs"?

:D, Art
