Well I know some of you are not crazy about Hi-Points but I could not pass the offer up half the msrp 200rds of 40 S&W and a holster that fits one of my other guns also. Its a Hi-Point JCP in 40 S&W.

Congratulations. When someone chooses to adopt, it's a noble effort worthy of praise, even if the adoptee is different!:D

I actually shot a Hi Point 45 a week or so ago. Not bad at all! And this coming from a 1911 snob!

My BIL decided to get himself a handgun for Christmas and chose the Hi Point because of price.

Any company that can sell a reliable USA made pistol at that price point and offer a lifetime guarantee certainly has my respect. More power to 'em.

Moving this to Handguns, Autoloaders.

Ugly child only a parent could love. :D

If it shoots straight and works (with a little breaking in) what more can a parent ask for! Congrats

New family member for me as well. :)

Loving it so far, off to the range Friday to try it out.

Good for you Alex! You will get a lot of use out of that gun. If you have any questions or concerns give HP a call and they will set you up...

That is a fact. I have the 995 carbine. Called them with a minor question, ended up talking the bull for 45 min. with a VP related to the owner. Good people. And he sent me a free mag for no reason at all. Ya, good people.

you make a good choice, the hi-point is a fine weapon, the warranty is one of the best in the country, and the .40sw in a gun like that feels kuje a 9mm so accuracy is going to be better.

once again great gun and great caliber.

safe shooting
