Thank you for the email. The pricing is quite reasonable too. A huge amount of software developers like to charge an arm and a leg for this stuff.

Downloading the beta soon, will keep an eye on development.

Hey,
downloaded the beta yesterday and so far it looks very promising.
Any additional reports planned?
I would like to track my shooting results...any reports about that would be awesome.

Eerie,

Thanks - I am working on more reports. One of them is about shootings, scored points, used targets...so that should fit your needs.

Check my website for updates.

So, after installation, why is it that there is an Admin sign-in dialog asking for a password that I don't know? And a License-Key that I also don't know?

Did I miss something? I did download the free trial version....

Thanks.

just leave the password blank (you can create your own password within the program) and also leave the license key blank and hit 'login'

Peter,

Any chance for C&R Record keeping options? Also options for tracking FTF sales and purchases (with the ability to scan in bill of sales)? I apologize if these are implemented, but I'm mobile at the moment and can't check out all the screens.

Exportability to Excel might be nice for some features (ie C&R logging). Heck, maybe some form of RSS reader to incorporate new postings from Gun-deals or other sites.

This is perfect for someone anal, but unorganized for me.

That said I hope there are options for security (passwords) and limit copies or erase everything in a full and complete manner (say if a password is tried too many times or it connects to the net and receives a self destruct code (say the computer has been stolen, but the program is not accessed yet). Failing that possibly some form of encryption. This is only because my job involves data security and I tend to think of these types of things all the time.

I'm trying this as soon as I get home. Oh ever thought of posting about this on r/guns? I think a lot of people there might like it.

gfanikf,

Yes there are C&R record keeping options - just working on additional reports for the next upgrade. If you have any new ideas or requests of what should be included, let me know and I can implement that.

You can add pictures and scans (of bill of sales) to each gun, also any kind of documents (manuals PDF, ...).

All data listings are exportable into Excel with a right click.

No data is stored online - database is a single file on your pc and can be encrypted. Thanks for the data security input - thinking about more solutions.

Peter

i'm not sure if i should order it because of the hardware-id/license key.
does it stop working when i change my video card/processor/hard drive ... ?

otherwise great program.

eerie - no the program will not stop working when you change a component.

In case you buy a new PC or change many components at the same time and you are already a customer you will get a new license key from us - for free of course.

Update

This is an update for all of you that followed us through our beta testing phase.

A lot of new reports were added in the past 1.5 months. We changed our pricing structure - the 'basic' version is now available for free.

We give away one 'collector' version for free each Sunday for all who liked us on facebook during the previous week.

And there is currently a deal to get 20% off your whole purchase and an additional 50% off on the shooter module for THR members. I posted the deal on THR:

Thanks
Peter
