Just picked up my new FNP-45. Haven't shot it yet, but I am blown away by the level of workmanship. Appears to be extremely well made. The out of the box SA trigger pull is much better than I ever expected. Most impressive.

Hope it shoots as good as it looks and feels. I think I see some Kool-aid off in the distance:eek:

I've been wanting a .45, and I really like the feel of the FNP's.

Need to shoot one.

Congrats!

rellascout,

Yes the USG. Found a slew of the decockers, had to really look for a tu-tone USG; finally found one at a "decent" price.

This is my first FN anything. Super quality.

Absolutely love my new FNP-45. I got the USG model in black, and fitted it with a Surefire X300. It's my nightstand pistol. Very very accurate, excellent fit & finish, beautiful workmanship. It is a large firearm no doubt, not for everyone. I fitted the curved backstrap before even firing it. It ate every type of ammo I put through it. No reloads, not my thing. $609 for the pistol with a 15 rd and 2 14 round magazines. I also bought 2 more 15 rd mags from CDNN @ $39.99 each and gave $210 for the light, NIB. Not a small amount of cash, but I got a lot for the money IMO.

If you're interested, CDNN has the -45 Shooters Pack on sale for $18.99 plus $7 shipping. I ordered over the weekend and shipping was only $5. They mailed it yesterday. :)

A steal of a deal.

John

No problem, here's the pics. I assume BP and TR mean me. ;)

"Combat Handguns" had a FNP story with a picture spread of all the calibers a while back, .45,.40,9mm and .357 SIG. True gun porn! Great looking guns!

Great Gun!!...

Real nice pistol Schmek... you will love it!
Bought the FNP-9 almost two years ago (my first 'poly') when it was $350 NIB... and it's been a flawless, great gun since.
As Rella said, the FNP pistols are VERY under-rated... they are very well made, a simple assembly, very accurate and are flawless shoots.
Been wanting an FNP-45 for some time, but wound up getting a 220 Carry... the FNP fits my hand perfect, very soft recoil and very accurate.
ENJOY... you've got a great gun!

Schmeky, do you own or have you shot a USP45? I was wondering if I could drag a comparison out of you if you have.

Looks nice. I like the stainless slide. Is the barrel blued?

I have the FNP-9M in SAO, and it's pretty awesome. It's a great size, and plenty fun to shoot. If I knew I were going into a hundgun fight tomorrow, and I could only bring one, and I didn't have to conceal it in the summer, I would buy the 45 in USG configuration. Sweet. Big.

Great looking FN! Love the black! Sharp looking pistol. Makes me think that Glock have taken the rectangle about as far as they can....

Rellascout: I bought it off the shelf at A&P Arms in VA beach about four years ago. Came with three magazines for $430

I got an FNP9 Thanksgiving weekend. It was my first gun purchase, and I couldn't be happier. Took it to the range today (2nd time since purchase) and threw about 150 rounds down range. 100% reliable. I was out-shooting both my father in law and his son (we have been shooting same amount of time). I was shooting at 50 feet with my FNP and they were shooting at 21 feet with a S&W M&P 9mm, and my patterns were alot tighter! I let his son shoot my FNP and he liked it ALOT more than his dads M&P. I shot the M&P just to see how it felt and I can honestly say, for me, the FNP blows it away. Trigger felt much better and the ergos seemed better, and I was more accurate to boot! Now I just need to get my CHL so I can carry it all the time....need to find a holster too...as if thats not hard enough, Im left handed!

schmeky, mine is same finish as yours. I like mine the more I shoot it. I liked the idea of the sa trigger and high capacity mag. It seems to be stouter in the rails than my glock 21 in 10mm. Ambidextrous controls are great also, lots of room for gloves. I wish my kid could take it to Afganistan with him.
