    Picked up a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 today. I bought it off a friend of mine who has waaaayyy more guns than I do (the lucky son of a gun).

    No pics as I don't have a digital camera, but just wanted to gush over it. I do like the big revovlers :D

    In my defense, I had to buy this gun. A friend of mine sold me a bunch of ammo a while ago, and there was a couple of boxes of .38 special and .357. What else could I do?:neener:

    Edit: Forgot to mention it is stainless with houge grips.

    WOW! Congrats on the find; as I know you will certainly enjoy it.
    As you may know, I've owned a 6" S&W 686-5 since April 2001;
    and it has become my favorite revolver. Its double action is as
    smooth as a baby's butt, thanks to the installation of a $15
    WOLFF spring kit with 13 lb trigger return spring. Enjoy~

    I have a 4" 686P (7 shot). A very cool gun indeed. Congrats on your purchase!
