I read that some people are having trouble with the g19s. I have a new g19 g3 test fired 12-5-2011. Anyone here have a good to go g19 here? I heard about brass to the face issues

Um, I have a good to go G19. Me and about 10,000 other members here.

Any handgun that has sold in the volume that the G19 has will have a few owners with issues. There isn't any reason to believe that you will have any issues, as the G19 is considered to be one of the most reliable and durable handguns in the world.

Sorry. I meant anyone have a G3. G19 that is a few months old only with no problems. Some of the issues i have read about with regard to recently purchased g19 g3 models makes me wonder if i bought a lemon.

I heard about brass to the face issues ...
Take it out and shoot it. If it doesn't throw brass at your face, there is no problem. If it does do it consistently with a cross section of loadings (unlikely but possible), return it to Glock for adjustment. I have had one since 1998 with bushels of rounds through it and it has never thrown brass at my face that I can recall.

I have a gen 3 G19 with zero problems, like about 10,000 other members here.

If 5 people in 10,000 have problems kids seem to think it means there's a "batch of lemons" out there.

Look; firearms are just basic self-operated machines which are faulty. Machines fail. Humans who put these machines together can fail. DO a Youtube search on "change Glock extractor". Can you do that for me?

If you bought it in 2011 and the number on the ejector is 336 you may have issues. Mine is back at glock for a replacement ejector. I have 5 other glocks that are good to go though. Let me be clear though, the 19 still runs. It doesn't malfunction. So IMO the gun can still be carried and shot. It does seem that glock has had a spell of bad luck and until they figure it out any new gun purchases on my end will go to sig, smith, beretta. Other companies are offering a lot in terms of features and reliability.

I bought Gen 3 G19 in September, test date was April or May of 2011. It has the 336 ejector. I have run 650 rounds through it so far. I have never had a problem with ejection. 2 weeks ago though I let my dad shoot a magazine through it and it threw 2 or 3 right back toward his face, he didn't notice or care. At the same time I noticed he doesn't lock either one of his arms when shooting and both of them are really bent at the elbows. My guess is his loose arms, versus my shooting arm being locked straight has some sort of effect on the difference in ejection. All of my empties seem to eject right into the screen on my right side and drop down to the shooting table.

sure, no problems with mine so far, Ive only ran about 12 clips thru it so far, but I tried every type of ammo I had ,it ate everything up, no spent cartridges to the face, no stove pipes, it made me look good on the range to, groupings were right on, from 8ft all the way to 25 ft ......... it was like a maserati compared to the P95 I traded it for

This is interesting. My first thought when I have some type of 'malfunction' is usually OK what am I doing that is causing or contributing to the problem. One of the range officers at my range shot my G19 and experienced the same problem, erratic ejection. IMO while there is an issue with some newer Gen 3 19s there doesn't seem to be a problem with ALL newer Gen 3 19s.

My Gen 3 G19 left the factory in 8/10 and has a 336 ejector No issues at all. It seems like there are more extractor issues these days than in the past but I do not think it is as wide spread as some are making it.

I think you mean ejector.

BTW, Gen 4 G19, 0-4-3 guide rod, 336 ejector = 0 problems of any kind.
