New G29 10mm - Problem

This is a little fire breathing DEMON of a piece. Man, I love how easy it is to conceal and the shear power of this round. $485 out the door new in the box is a prety good deal I think. See last post for info on problem.

$485 ???

Where did you get that price in Georgia. I cant find the high caliber Glocks for under 520 in and around Atlanta!!! $489 is Glock 19 cost ... Tell me ... tell me where .. where I say ... WHERE !!!!!!!

axeman, the "normal" price to people he doesn't know personally for years is $569. The owner of the store is a personal friend of mine and has been for years :)

Not fair!!!

Not Fair ... Not Fair ... Not Fair .....

if your going to play that "I've got a freind ..." game well then I really do have a friend and he has a construction site Port-a-potty business and I can get a really, really good discount on recycled roach coach food.

And I am NOT going to ever share any of it with HiFidelity !

:neener:

I haven't fired the Glock 10mm but years ago I did get to try a Colt Delta Elite that some guy had at the lane next to mine. We started chatting and I let him run a few rounds through my gun and he let me try the Delta. It was so nice, I think I need to get one of my own. I'll give the Glock a try if I can as well.

25 rounds of Fed HydraShok runs about $18-$20 normally. UMC Ball is about $13-$15 for 50. That's retail. I stuff my own :)

axeman, I extend to you my deepest appologies. You will get your G29, and you will be a happy man. Life will be complete then. :D

That's a super deal on a new G29. Congrats!

The G29 is a great little powerhouse.

aww shucks .....

HI ... your a nice guy ... I will share my bounty with you anytime ....

Enjoy that 29 ....hopefully I will find one soon.

Axe

carbonator, I do carry it IWB, and it sits just a hair above the pantsline. It hides easily on me. I'm about 6', 230, fairly lean.

Glad the G29 works for you HiFi. I'd really like a G29 to CCW but it might be a bit thick for me. I might try one OWB during the cold season though.

10mm is growing on me.

failure to feed problem

Shooting Federal Premium 180gr Hydra Shok JHP's, I had SEVERAL FTF's. ONLY when shooting this ammo. I shot one mag full and it FTF almost EVERY time. I put a mag of UMC 180gr FMJ's in and it functioned FLAWLESSLY. Put another mag of Hydra Shoks in and same FTF problems. It was like the slide was stuck all the way back, and I removed the mag and tapped on the back of the slide lightly with my palm and it was ok then. Chambered another Hydrashok, shot it same FTF problem. Never had a problem with the UMC FMJ's. What gives?

Looking forward to getting them in the next few days Mike. I put another 100 rounds through it of ball ammo, and then another 10 of Hydra Shoks. Not one problem today, but it did "feel" underpowered with them though. I'll post a report of the doubletap ammo when I try 'em. Thanks.

The Double Tap ammo is some good stuff. You might want to buy a heavier recoil spring for it with that ammo. I use the Double Tap and it really wakes up your pistol. My brass ejected 56 feet using the 135 gr.
I installed a 22lb spring and now it only goes 40 feet. I may try a 24lb spring in the future.
