I finally broke down and bought a NIB GP100. I have been looking for a good deal on a used one but could never find a deal good enough to pull the trigger on. I was on Bud's website yesterday afternoon and the wife walks into the Den and asks me what I was doing. I showed her the picture of the GP100 SS 6" on Bud's she said is that a good price. I proceded to show her prices at other dealers and on Gunbroker (Buds kicked butt on the price) and said I want to get one of these eventually. She says why don't you go ahead and get it. Needless to say I never clicked on a Add to Cart button so fast, entered the CC info as fast as I could and hit the checkout button. I know it will cost me down the road but WTH I got what I wanted. :D

$522 + 3% (used CC) free shipping and it will be another $26.50 for the FFL transfer. Just got a email from Bud's the gun shipped today will arrive Wednesday. One of these days I will get around to getting my CCW so I can avoid the 3 day "Cooling off Period) I won't get to take it home until next Monday :(

I'm from st. louis where they'd make you a week to take the gun home.

seems to me if I wanted to shoot someone I wouldn't go buy a new gun, I'd use one of the 20 sitting at home.

I've since moved to tn however where there is no waiting period

I have the same gun, but in blue. Took it to the range this morning with some medium-strength handloaded 158 LSWCs. It's a tack-driver enough that I can regularly hit clay pigeons at 50 yards - shooting SA. DA..well...if practice makes perfect, I have a lot of practicing to do. :p

Good choice. Enjoy it...

St. Louis no longer has the waiting period. :)

Just checked the tracking # it is out for delivery not bad considering I ordered it Sunday. First purchase from Bud's (won't be my last). I have a lot of 38spl that I reloaded for a S&W model 642 airweight that we have. I want to load up some 357 rounds to push thru this baby. I am going to go with a recomendation and use 6.5g of W231 with some Berry's 125g FN plated bullets. :)

If you want a real show, with those same Berry bullets, put 19gr of H110 under them. You are supposed to use small pistol magnum primers with H110, but I didn't know that when I first started reloading and WOW, what a show! The slow burning H110 needs that magnum ignition, or you will have unburnt powder igniting after it leaves barrel for a LARGE flame down range.:what: Fun though. It made every shooter at the indoor range stop and notice.:scrutiny:

good luck with your new GP I have the 4" s/s model.
I originally wanted a 6" but they seemed to be back-ordered forever and I got the 4" as soon as available. mine's a shooter with cast slugs over Red Dot at around 1000 fps.

Congrats! I have a 6" Stainless w/ half lug and if I could
only have one handgun the GP100 would be it.
Powerful, accurate and reliable.

Did the transfer stuff this afternoon. I got to hold it in my hand felt really good. Can't pick it up until Tuesday morning. I feel a sick day coming Tuesday ;).

If you are sick on Tuesday, let it be from the consistent stare at bullet holes into targets; from the pervasive smell of gunpowder; from the excessive BOOM audible through even the most ample of hearing protection; and from the constant grin you are sure to endure.
