New grips for my MAK

I've been leery of one piece wood grips. Logically it seems they would have to fit perfectly OR else be prone to cracking. It this not the case? Is there much fitting?

I just ordered a set of new grips for my Sig P225 from this fella. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they look...

usp9- They fit nice and snug, perfect. I had requested in my order that they be slightly thicker (fatter) than the original red star grips. Also, they came shipped in a padded envelope, well wrapped with foam padding, with a block of wood inside the grip where the frame of the gun would be, to keep it from getting broken in shipment.
